We just upgraded my wife’s phone to T-Mobile from ATT. Same number, so we should be good to go. However is there any problem with using Zelle on T-Mobile? There were some links on Reddit describing some sort of problems with short identifiers but those were from 2019 - are there still some issues?
Is anybody else having trouble downloading apps or updates from the Google Play Store?I am in the Tampa Bay area and have tried (with the help of friends and co-workers) about 20 different phones on the T-mobile network and none of them will download apps or updates from the playstore. If I connect the phone to a non T-mobile wifi then it works fine. Is there some issue between T-mobile and Google? Not sure what’s going on here.
Ever since the merger with sprint, t mobile has been absolute trash. Even after the new sim card its bad. Who ever thought it was a good idea to merge with sprint needs to get fired. Worst thing that has happened. And my job is dependant on having mobile data and if t mobile cant have their stuff together then im gonna have to switch.

I’m in my 14 day free trial. I’d like to replace my cox modem with Tmobile’s unit feeding into my Orbi mesh network router. From what I can see and have read TMobile app won’t let you turn of the router functionality to just use it as a modem. Correct? I’ve read some suggestions to use the T-Mobile box as-is and just connect it to an external router using Ethernet. Anyone here doing this for awhile without issue? Don’t things get messed up with the external router and T-Mobile router allocating DHCP addresses? Saw another suggestion to use the setup above, but rename the T-Mobile Wi-Fi network different than the external router Wi-Fi network and only connect to the external router Wi-Fi. Wow! T-mobile is a bunch of thieves! It seems they are known to make deals in store and sell promotional offers that never seem to translate to your bill. Then they claim those offers never existed & meanwhile you are out your equipment you previously traded & now have lost the unlimited phone plans you had been grandfathered in using for previous 7 years. Only to be unable to get any manager on the phone to return your call as promised by the reps you have repeatedly wasted HOURS with on the phone! Run don’t walk - RUN away from such unethical practices! I am no reading many similar stories here online exactly as it happened to me AFTER I’ve been with the T-mobile company for 7 years + already. My account was on a set-it and forget it but we went in to purchase new phones at Christmas. I have a past due balance of about $50 on my account and it has been more than 30 days. I see this message when trying to do a payment arrangement “Become eligible for Payment Arrangement and pay 30+ days past-due balance” Does this mean If I come up with the $50 my phone will still be off until I become eligible for a payment arrangement? So I would need to pay $50 plus the new PA? Please help, I am starting a new job soon and need my services restored until my first check to become current.
Hello, I used to text this mobile phone for several months. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S21. However, today, the text fails to be sent. Then, I look at my contacts for the mobile phone number and it is changed to:sip:[phone number]@msg.pc.tmobile.com;user=phone I removed this and updated the contacts with the correct phone number, but the text does not go through and the contacts is changed back to sip:[phone number]@msg.pc.tmobile.com;user=phone Any idea what is going on? I use my T-mobile home network in my RV. While driving and at a new location, it used to connect and continue to provide internet service. A few months ago, it stopped doing so, except at my home. Is T-mobile no longer allowing portability of the T-MOBILE 5G HOME INTERNET?
How can I set FIXED IP’s? I need fixed IP for my printer and cloud device, because with DHCP, every time I restart devices, with random IP, I lose mappings and have to refresh settings all the time.
I’ve recently been told by work Information Services that I cannot use my work laptop with T-Mobile Home Internet. Here is there response to my support request. T-Mobile's primary service called "5G Broadband" is not true wire-to-site broadband. While Cisco AnyConnect can work over 5G and other wireless connections, MTS does not recommend its usage unless absolutely necessary, and if you utilize a phone line such as Cisco Jabber call quality cannot be guaranteed.The issue is that while 5G can provide broadband level speeds and bandwidth wireless solutions, such as 5G, have a higher tolerance for "packet loss." Packet loss is when individual pieces of data are dropped/lost during transmission. We are looking at the prepaid phone plan for one month on the t-mobile website, for three lines with unlimited data ($110 + $10 SIM starter kit).We need two e-sims and one physical sim, and we are unable to ship the physical sim to The Netherlands. Is it possible to collect or order the prepaid phone plans at a T-mobile Shop, e.g. T-Mobile Serramonte Center?
I had an Android (Google Pixel) and experienced knocking and tapping sounds for over a year. T-Mobile store changed the SIM card. It didn’t help. This went on for more than a year. Then I got an IPhone. The issue continues. T-Mobile did try a number of methods, but nothing helped. They kept closing out my ticket (which took forever for me to get them to agree to open to begin with. I did have one kind technician (I don’t think he was an actual technician) who checked in with me a number of times. NOTHING CHANGED. I finally realized on my own, that it only seems to occur on outgoing calls. So, I call people, the knocking begins, and I ask them to call me back…..and no knocking. It’s not my tower. It happened even in New York. It doesn’t happen on every call, but I’d say 90% of calls. It’s absolutely horrible.
