Información sobre Alertas de emergencia móviles

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) is a personalized emergency alert system designed to alert people of nearby threats or emergencies. These systems are also known as Personal Localized Alerting Network (PLAN) and the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS). Wireless Emergency Alerts used to be known as Wireless AMBER Alerts.

 

Mobile users across the country now receive free, automatic notifications about abducted children in their area as part of the WEA program.

There are four types of messages:

 

  • Mensajes del Presidente
  • Amenazas inminentes a la seguridad de la vida
  • Alertas AMBER
  • Alertas del Servicio meteorológico nacional
